Practising as a therapist is deeply rewarding, but it can also be emotionally demanding and, at times, isolating. There are moments when we question ourselves, feel uncertain about our clinical work, or carry complex client presentations that are difficult to process alone. Good supervision should meet you in all of those places.
For me, clinical supervision is far more than administrative oversight or simply meeting BACP ethical requirements. It is a reflective, collaborative relationship where you can bring the whole of yourself and your practice—your clients, your emotional responses, your uncertainties, your successes, and your developing professional identity.
Based in Cornwall, I offer confidential online supervision throughout the UK for trainee counsellors, qualified psychotherapists, and supervisors. Whether you are building a private practice in London, Edinburgh, or Cardiff, or completing placement hours locally in Cornwall, my aim is to provide a supportive and professionally challenging environment where you can develop with confidence.
My supervision practice is grounded in the Person-Centred Approach, placing the supervisory relationship at the very heart of our work. I supervise counsellors and psychotherapists working within person-centred, humanistic, integrative, and relational modalities, working respectfully within each supervisee’s own theoretical framework.
Together, we build a supervisory space where curiosity, openness, and mutual respect allow complex clinical work—including vulnerability, shame, and experiences that feel difficult to put into words—to be explored safely. My role is not to prescribe answers, but to think alongside you, fostering your clinical judgment and confidence.

The Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision: Attending to the client, therapeutic interventions, relational dynamics, countertransference, and wider systemic contexts.
The Integrated Developmental Model (IDM): Tailoring support to your specific stage of professional growth, from initial training through to senior practice.
Relational & Psychodynamic Literature: Offering additional depth when exploring complex attachment, transference, and trauma dynamics.
Clinical & Ethical Dilemmas
Navigating boundaries, confidentiality, and BACP Ethical Framework standards.
Transference & Countertransference
Understanding unconscious relational dynamics and personal reactions.
Safeguarding & Complex Cases
Managing risk, trauma, grief, and bereavement by suicide.
Shame & Self-Doubt
Addressing imposter feelings, burnout, and work-related stress.
Professional Growth
Balancing clinical intuition, theory, and business setup for private practice.
My supervision practice draws upon over 30 years of clinical experience across NHS healthcare, nursing, midwifery, and psychotherapy.
In addition to my private practice, I contribute directly to counsellor education as a Visiting Lecturer at the Cornwall Counselling Institute, supervising both trainee practitioners navigating diploma requirements and experienced therapists seeking deeper relational reflection.
Many supervisees appreciate the convenience and flexibility of online supervision. Secure video platforms allow for a rich, focused supervisory relationship regardless of where you are located in the UK. Sessions are fully compliant with the BACP Supervision Competence Framework.
I offer individual, one-off supervision sessions for qualified therapists whose primary supervisor is temporarily unavailable due to leave, illness, or sabbatical. These sessions provide seamless ethical cover and clinical support under clear contracting guidelines.
Choosing a supervisor is an important professional commitment. I offer a free 60-minute initial video consultation so we can discuss your clinical needs, explore how we might work together, and ensure a good fit without obligation.
